Packed/Venturi towers

The packed towers allow high gas flowrates and very high abatement rates on a small footprint. The gas is introduced in the base tank and flows upwards through the absorption packing rings, uniformly flooded by the neutralizing solution: with soluble vapours and gases the scheduled PM interval for sprayers and packing rings is of one year, but in presence of high dusts content this timing can be achieved only with a pre-cleaning through a Venturi Jet. The latter can be either internal, coaxial to the tower, or external on the same base tank: in both cases the inlet and exhaust of the gas are from the top of the unit, with a dynamic mist separator before the fan.

The installed instrumentation comprises pH or Redox control, along with chemical reagent dosing pump; the gas flowrate and pressure in the suction areas are controlled in real time by varying the fan speed. Available in PVC and PP with flowrates from 5,000 to 20,000 cmh, feature a monolythic construction upto 10,000 cmh for ease of transport and installation.
